Otherwise, everything is still in Curious Expedition 2. Now events and quests are generated much better, similar to each other does not occur, and in general, each region can be passed in different ways. So, for example, the mechanics of generating quests and events has been significantly reworked. So yeah, you can get rid of him by not healing his wounds or with some negative events so you can get a 5th trek member but only for the rest of the expedition, good options are either taming/hatching wild animals or recruiting a native tribal. As for the gameplay, in general, it inherits all the same game mechanics that were used by the developers in the first part, except for the fact that some of them were finalized and changed. ![]() I got an event with a "dream world", i had to pick an human trek member and picked the inspector, he was then gone, good as dead. The second time, i used the toad that restore a big amount of sanity in exchange of a potentially dangerous hallucination. ![]() The first time i lost him he got an infection after being hurt by spiky plants, never healed him to find out what would happen, fearing that would be game over, but he was just gone until the end of the expedition. If you find a way to get rid of the inspector during an expedition, he will come back at the end of it right before returning to Paris during a small event, i haven't noticed any downside in terms of rewards when it happened. I reccomend discovering for yourself but i'll put my own experience in spoilers :
